Africa and This past week

This week in class we studied Africa. We made both a physical and a political map of Africa. We also learned about the genocide in Rwanda. It was very hard to watch a video on it because many Africans died in the midst of the situation. It was also difficult to watch because America didn't help a lot and turned away. Tomorrow were having a debate on the statement "which is worse, the man who beats his wife, or the neighbor who hears it and doesn't say anything?" I love to debate so I am excited.

I cannot wait until spring break! I'm going to the beach with my four best friends, it's going to be awesome. The picture to the left is a picture of my three friends and me (I am on the furthest right). This weekend I spent a lot of time with my step-sister. We watched three movies that are really popular in the United States right now. One was Becoming Jane, it was about Jane Austen's (a famous author who wrote "Pride and Prejudice") life and her inspiration to start writing. The other two movies were Beowulf and 300, they were very violent, but both had good stories. Wednesday we have TAKS testing. Now you're probably wondering what that is. It's state tests that test you on your main subjects. This wednesday we're doing the English TAKS. Wish me good luck!

Hi, I'm Hsuan, form Taiwan. Nice to meet you!
The picture is so cute, I like it very much. :)
I saw 300 before, too. I agree with your point very much, it was too violent to watch. I think I prefer comedies. After all, it's always better to laugh than to be shocked!
